Chloe’s
Story
Chloe, a sweet Pekingese/Chihuahua mix, started vomiting and then just was lying around the house. Chloe’s mom took her to see the team at East Hills Veterinary Hospital and they diagnosed a pyometra. A pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus, which occurs in pets who have not been spayed. Chloe needed emergency surgery, but her mom did not have the money for the procedure. The team at East Hills reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals and we were able to secure the funding and Chloe received the needed surgery later that afternoon. She is recovering well!
