Dakota is a very active young pooch and somehow broke her elbow.  Dakota’s mom did not have the funding for surgery and at the time, tried to see if Dakota could heal in a splint.  Unfortunately, that type of fracture doesn’t do well in a splint, and so Dakota ended up with a non-healing fracture and a painful elbow.  Dakota’s mom found the team at Animal Fix Clinic and they were able to offer a limb amputation – and spay Dakota at the same time!  They reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals to issue a grant to cover the cost of the surgery and now Dakota can run around again on her 3-legs pain-free!
