Eva and her pet mom and human sister had just moved to a new house…..when tragedy struck! Eva was attacked by a dog in the household and her jaw was broken! Her pet mom not only had to try and find care for Eva with limited funding but had to move to a safer location. SAGE Compassion for Animals was able to fund part of the procedure, but Eva’s jaw had been broken in 3 different places and so required the expertise of a boarded veterinary surgeon soon as Eva was not able to eat. SAGE Veterinary Centers in Concord was able to get Eva in and did a CT scan to determine where all the fractures were – there were 3! Eva recovered well from surgery, but she wasn’t eating….until her pet mom and sister visited….she needed her family there to take her first bites!
