Hershey’s

Story

Hershey’s pet mom had rescued him from a neighbor that just had him chained up in the yard and neglected him.  She saved money each month to treat his chronic ear issues and medications for his Cushing’s disease (excess steroids produced in the body) but was not prepared to pay for surgery when Hershey ate something he shouldn’t have and started vomiting.  Hershey is a staff favorite at Humane Society of Sonoma County and so they reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals to help with funding for the surgery.  Dr. Norris was able to remove a wad of plastic wrap in his stomach and now he is back riding shotgun with his pet mom!
