Jaque showed all the signs of a male kitty having difficulty urinating – posturing for longer in the litter box, discolored urine in small amounts, hiding, and then started to refuse food.  Even though Jaque is less than 2 years old, he was suffering from Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease and was taken to the emergency clinic.  Jaque was unblocked and placed on fluids and released – only to return in days obstructed again!  A perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery was recommended to prevent further blockages, but Jaque’s pet parents had run out of money.  The team at Animal Fix Clinic was able to schedule the surgery right away, SAGE Compassion for Animals was able to provide the funding, and Jaque had his surgery!  He is mostly back to normal, but not sure if he will forgive the indignity of that blue collar he had to wear!!
