Little Bit’s
Story
Little Bit is an approximately 7-year-old female Chihuahua mix and her dad noted a floppy mass on one of her front toes. It was not bugging her, but it certainly could and so he went to see Dr. Budgin at the Veterinary Clinic associated with Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. Unfortunately, Dr. Budgin also found 2 small masses in Little Bit’s mammary glands. Mammary masses are very common in dogs that have not been spayed. Dr. Budgin was able to remove all of the masses and spay Little Bit in one procedure with the funding help from SAGE Compassion for Animals. Little Bit recovered very well and is home waiting on biopsy results – we are all holding good thoughts!
