Origami is described as an “old soul” by his pet family – even though he is only 4 years old.  When members of his pet family are sad, Origami goes right up to their faces and puts his nose on their nose and stares into their eyes.  It was tragic the day that Origami was hit by a car – he was taken into the veterinarian right away, but found to have several fractures that needed specialty attention.  The team at Lenity Vet Specialists and Emergency Care were able to do surgery to repair Origami’s fractured tibia (shin bone) and also amputate his tail as it had lost feeling.  The family reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals to assist with the cost of the surgery and now Origami is back home getting the emotional support he needs to heal!
