Pebble is an 8-year-old female Pitbull that started to vomit and was lethargic – and you guessed it! – had an infected uterus (pyometra) as many intact female dogs will have at this age!  Pebble needed surgery, but her pet mom was having a hard time finding a veterinarian in her area that was open and able to perform the surgery on the weekend – and was also in need of financial assistance.  The team at OakVet Animal Specialty Hospital was able to do the surgery and knew that SAGE Compassion for Animals would assist with funding over the weekend.  OakVet and SAGEC4A were able to coordinate everything quickly working together, so Pebble had a successful surgery that night!!
