Riley’s
Story
Riley normally has a “stomach of steel”, but this time when he started throwing up, he didn’t stop! He was seen by the team at the Humane Society of Sonoma County and they diagnosed him with having foreign material partially blocking his intestines and he needed surgery. Riley’s family didn’t have the funds for surgery, but they reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals and we were able to give a grant so that Riley could have surgery the next day. He did well and is home recovering with his human siblings – not sure if Riley learned his lesson about chewing on their toys yet!
