Shelby’s pet grandma had been telling Shelby’s pet dad that he had to watch out that Shelby didn’t start chewing on things she shouldn’t – she was only 7 months and it’s like having a toddler!  Unfortunately, the pet dad didn’t listen to grandma and so when Shelby stopped eating one day, the family was beside themselves.  They could not afford the surgery that Shelby needed to remove the foreign material from her intestines that was seen on X-rays.  They were able to get in for surgery with Animal Fix Clinic and SAGE Compassion for Animals funded the grant for an exploratory surgery – and to get Shelby spayed!  She is at home and back to lizard chasing!
