Sunny’s

Story

Sunny has a right to look a little upset……he isn’t even 1-year-old yet and he has had 2 episodes of urinary obstruction!  His pet mom went to the emergency clinic and Sunny was unblocked and started on IV fluids.  Sunny’s pet mom was concerned as she could not afford to hospitalize Sunny again – and there is always a chance that something could be damaged when a cat has to be catheterized multiple times.  The team at the Community Veterinary Clinic at the Humane Society of Sonoma County was able to perform a perineal urethrostomy (“PU”) to prevent future blocking.  Sunny’s pet mom reached out to SAGE Compassion for Animals for funding for the surgery and now Sunny is back to his “sunny disposition” – well, he will be as soon as he doesn’t have to wear this stupid collar
