Zooty’s
Story
Zooty was his pet dad’s birthday present 2 years ago and has been a “ball of joy!”. Zooty’s pet dad noted a fleshy mass at the tip of Zooty’s penis that had started to bleed….Zooty had a common problem in intact male English Bulldogs called urethral prolapse. This is where the inner lining of the tube from the bladder sticks out and can cause pain and become traumatized. Unfortunately, Zooty needed surgery to remove the extra tissue and be neutered – and to make things more complicated – he was cryptorchid (one testicle was still in his abdomen!). Zooty’s pet dad found the team at Vets in Vans to do the surgery and SAGE Compassion for Animals to help fund the surgery. Zooty is now back home eating treats and posing for pictures!
